More Reaction to the Call

The highlight of the week, however, as you have already read, was Eldon receiving his mission call to the Brazil Londrina mission.  We are all very excited for his call, and have been learning all we can about the area via the Internet.  Marie has already joined an email group of LDS moms who also have missionaries in the Brazil Central missions (there are 27 missions in Brazil), and it has been fun to read some of their stories, and learn some of their helpful hints.  The city and surrounding suburbs of Londrina is quite large, over a million people, but there is much agriculture in the surrounding areas.  The mission is very large, and borders Paraguay and Argentina.  This is the map that came in his mission packet:
